Rules for Darts for dartboard games, specifically for Mulligan.
Mulligan Darts is one of the more difficult games with very simple rules. Most of the time, it’s played by very good players only, although it can be played by any number of people.
The Object of the game: Choose and close six random numbers on the board plus the bulls eye before any of your opponents can.
The Scoring of the game: The names of players are written across the top of a board in the order that they will play. Who gets to play first is determined by each player throwing a dart at the bulls eye. The player that gets closest to the bulls eye gets to play first.
What makes this game so difficult is that in order to "close" one of your chosen numbers you have to hit three triples (the thin inner ring on a dartboard), except when you are playing the buls eye round. Each triple you hit counts as one. This is why Mulligan has simple playing darts rules but the game itself is very hard.
The six numbers are actually random and they are chosen by throwing a dart from your left hand (if you’re right handed) or they can be called out. When the numbers are chosen, they will then be written down on the board and a “B” will be written below them to indicate the bulls eye.
The Play: The first player throws for the triple of the first number written down. No other triples count until you have "closed" the first number. Play goes on until one person has closed all his numbers and the bulls eye.
Strategy: The only strategy for this dartboard game is to practice and make sure you are a good Darts player before you try to play this game, unless you have lots of time on your hand or are just looking for a new game to play.
